The AWSC Nationals consists of four consecutive days of events held during the month of August for the benefit of AWS owners and members of the AWSC. The National Specialty is a licensed AKC conformation dog show held specifically for the American Water Spaniel.  Other events during these four days include a Obedience Trial,  Rally Trial, Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, Roustabout, AWSC and AKC Spaniel Hunt Tests,  Junior events, the club's annual meeting, an awards banquet, and much more.  The Nationals offers many opportunities to display your dogs' talents, meet and socialize with other AWS owners, and participate the AWSC's most important event of the year.

The St. Croix Inn Hotel is located on beautiful St Croix Lake, headwaters for the St Croix & Brule Rivers. Hotel and Local amenities include: Rooms with balconies overlooking the lake, free continental breakfast, a full lounge with outdoor deck overlooking the lake, pool and hot tub, pontoons, kayaks, canoes, bikes, a trout pond for kids to fish off a pier, great fishing, etc.
 
There are 4 styles of rooms to choose from:
  • Lakeside w/ Balcony: Two Queen Beds -- $149.90/night + $7.50/night pet fee, negotiated for AWSC  members
  • Lakeside w/ Balcony: King Bed -- $149.90/night + $7.50/night pet fee, negotiated for AWSC members
  • Non-Lakeside: Two Double Beds   -- $99.90/night + $7.50/night pet fee, negotiated for AWSC members

Located one mile south of Solon Springs on Business Highway 53.
There are only a limited number of cabins available -- 5.  Don't wait.  First Come, First Served.
 
Swanson's will hold a limited number of cabins for AWSC members, until June 1, 2018
##1, 5 (Small, 1 Queen Bed, no kitchen); ## 2, 3 (Small, 2 double beds, no kitchen) $50 per night on weekdays, $70 per night on weekends.
# 7 or #11 (2 Bedrooms w/ Kitchen)  $94 per night on weekdays, $114 per night on weekends. 
One-time dog fee of $50
 
Bed linens and towels supplied.  All cabins feature air conditioning, wi/fi, TV, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots, and showers.
Swanson's has a 20×40 in-ground heated swimming pool. A playground area includes swings, slide and sand play area.

Located on Upper St. Croix Lake in the village of Solon Springs, this park offers visitors 24 total sites: 13 with electrical and water hook-ups and, 11 non-electric campsites, containing fire rings, picnic tables, and benches.  Lucius Woods amenities include showers, flush toilets, a sanitary dump station.  Generally, no advance reservations!*

Small 10-room motel, a 20-25 minute drive from Solon Springs, right off Highway 2.  Patty St. Onge has personally checked this motel, and says that it is very clean and well-maintained.  Each room has a small refrigerator.  Rates are $55 to $65 per night, plus a $10 dog fee.  The Manager will hold all 10 rooms for AWSC members attending Nationals until July 1, 2018.
